As they become increasingly inebriated, their inhibitions fall away and their lives begin to change for the better. But as their alcohol consumption increases, their relationships, professional lives, and mental and physical health begin to deteriorate. The movie is a commentary on the Danish drinking culture and the pressure of being a high school teacher and it has been praised for its performances, direction and its ability to make the audience laugh while also making them reflect on their own lives.
